Learning Inside and Outside

We had a wonderful, short week in our classroom!  We continued to move forward in all of our existing units and completed fun activities, lessons, and projects along the way.  The kindergartners also enjoyed creating and playing in the snow on our playground and found beauty in the details of God's wintry playscape.

Curriculum Update:
Writing: Review of Pattern Books
Bible: King Saul
Math: Making 5 Groups and 10 Groups
Literacy Block: Partner Reading
Phonics: /Ii/ and Segmenting Review

Afternoon Snack:
We are almost out of snacks for our afternoon snack time.  If you are willing and able, please donate a box or bag to help replenish our snack closet.  A few ideas: ritz/snack crackers, pretzels, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, gold fish, or teddy grahams.  Thanks so much!

Wipes:

We are also almost out of wipes for cleaning desks and table surfaces in our classroom.  If you are willing and able to donate wet wipes or bleach wipes, it would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Markers:

Many kindergartners' markers are beginning to dry out.  If you have any extra markers at home and would be willing to pass a few along, please send them to school with your son or daughter.  We will put them to great use!  Thanks!

Bible Memory:
Our January Bible Memory is Psalm 1:6.  Thank-you for your continued practice at home!
