Another Week!

Wow!  January is already coming to a close!  As our second semester kicks off in full gear, the kindergartners continue to make great strides in our curriculum.  They are developing great reading skills and are continuing to solve basic addition and subtraction problems.  The kindergartners are also embodying the lessons and themes in our Bible stories and are very eager to participate in ‘Writing Workshop.'  God is certainly blessing our kindergarten year and great things are continuing to happen in (and out of) our classroom!

Learning Inside and Outside

We had a wonderful, short week in our classroom!  We continued to move forward in all of our existing units and completed fun activities, lessons, and projects along the way.  The kindergartners also enjoyed creating and playing in the snow on our playground and found beauty in the details of God's wintry playscape.

Winter Days

We finished another great week in kindergarten!  Our time together was filled with talking about Martin Luther King Jr., Bible stories, Language Arts, Math Workshop review, and various ‘winter activities’.  We continued to work hard to change around bulletin boards and hanging artwork to reflect our January learning and activities. The kindergartners have certainly enjoyed creating new projects to help with this task!  Finally, the kindergartners enjoyed participating in a wonderful chapel led by Mrs. VanMeeteran’s class.

Welcome Back!

Our first days in 2020 were busy, successful, and full of activities!  It was so exciting to welcome back all of the kindergartners after a long break!  It certainly was not hard to feel the energy as the kindergartners returned to our classroom. :)  What a blessing it is to be able to once again teach and grow with these kiddos!  I sure have missed my group during my maternity leave!  It is good to be back!
