Welcome to Kindergarten!!

I cannot believe we have already completed our first days of Kindergarten!  Our time together flew by each day, but we completed many successful activities and lessons during these days together.  It has been such a blessing to see the joy and excitement on the face of your child during the first days of school!  I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child!  It is my prayerful desire that the 2019-2020 Kindergarten year will shape your child spiritually, academically, and socially/emotionally.  Thank-you for your continued partnership and prayers!

Duty:
I have recess duty on Monday and Thursday mornings from 7:50-8:10.  I will be on the playground during these times.

Snack:
We will have a morning snack each day.  Please pack something that your child can pull out of his or her backpack or ‘home lunch’ to eat during this time.  Our afternoon snack will be provided through our classroom ‘snack closet.’

Shoes:

Please be sure to have a pair of indoor and outdoor shoes for your child at school each day.  We will keep the indoor shoes at school and your child will change into them each morning.  This practice helps us keep the school building looking clean and polished!

Water Bottles:

If your child would like to take a water bottle to school, he or she is certainly welcome to do so.  We have a drinking fountain in the hallway that can be used during recesses, but your child may gladly bring a water bottle if you prefer.  Please be sure that the water bottle is clearly labeled with your child’s name.

Blue-Dot Folders:

Your child will use his or her blue-dot folder to take home daily work.  Please return it each day and if you have any notes for me, simply put them in the folder.  I will check each child’s folder in the morning.
